Alumni Engagement

The Office of Strategic Communications works closely with the University of Maryland Alumni Association on a multitude of alumni engagement and membership programs designed to connect Terps with fellow alumni, prepare them for new opportunities and to strengthen Maryland traditions. In 2020 we pivoted nearly all events to a virtual environment, including the Class of 1970 reunion. We also produced the “State of the Association” annual report and collaborated with the association’s Board of Governors and staff to develop a messaging framework to better tell the story of the association, its role for the university and the alumni community. Furthermore, we supported the alumni membership team in creating quarterly campaigns and a newsletter to attract new members.
