Building Together: An Investment for Maryland


The Office of Strategic Communications led the sophisticated marketing and communications rollout for the announcement of the largest gift in university history, $219,486,000 from the A. James & Alice B. Clark Foundation. This included working with internal and external partners to create a unique visual identity, developing a media strategy and announcement plan for “Building Together: An Investment for Maryland,” as well as producing the event itself. We produced a wide variety of marketing materials, including a microsite, news release, invitation and program, and series of videos, all of which resulted in a standing-room-only event and widespread media coverage.

The announcement generated nearly 500 media clips that created more than 660 million impressions.
